Kairi ki Chatni (Raw Mango Chatni)

Cooking time 20 Min Serves 7-8


Raw Mangoes 1 Kg

Garlic ½ Cup

Cumin Seeds 1 Tbsp

Salt 2 Tbsp

Red Chilli 4 Tbsp

Turmeric Powder ¼ Tsp

Oil 500 ml

Cumin seeds 1 Tsp

Black seeds 1 Tsp

Rai Seeds 1 Tsp

Red Pepper 10-11

Method –

Take 1 Kg of Raw Mangoes and grate them finely.

– Grind garlic and cumin seeds together, preferably with hands in a in a grinding bowl.

– Add salt, red chilli and turmeric powder in grated mangoes. Mix them well. Keep Aside.

– Heat oil in a pan.

– Add Red Chillis, cumin seeds, black seeds and Rai seeds. Stir well.

– Add the tampering to the dal.

Note: You may prepare ‘Kairi Ki Chutney” and refrigerate it to use as per requirement.
