Ingredients:
Chana Daal 250 Gms
Basmati Rice 500 Gms
Oil 150 ml
Tomato 3
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Yogurt 250 gms
Salt 1 tbsp
Red chilli 1 tbsp
Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Green Chillies 5-6
Fresh Coriander ¼ Cup
Cumin Seeds 1 Tsp
Black Pepper ½ Tsp
Cloves 10
Cinnamon Stick 3
Black Cardamom 2
Bay Leaf 1
Star Anise 2
Cumin Seeds ½ Tsp
Method:
– Heat oil in pan and fry onion until turned light brown. Add tomatoes and ginger-garlic paste and mix well.
– Add Yogurt, Salt, Red chilli, Red chilli flakes, Turmeric powder, Green Chilli paste, Black Pepper, Cloves, Cinnamon Stick, Black Cardamom, Bay Leaf, Star Anise, Cumin Seeds and boiled chana daal. Mix well.
– Add rice and water .
– Add fresh Coriander and green chillies and cover the lid of the pot.
– Simmer for 10-15 Mintues on medium low flame
– Serve.
